GUWAHATI: Two persons from Morigaon district of Assam have tested COVID-19 positive on April 16.
Both the patients are secondary contacts of Nizamuddin Markaz attendees.
It is to be mentioned that the cumulative number of patients in Assam now stands at 34. Meanwhile, 5 patients have been cured and discharged.

Earlier today, three COVID-19 patients who were being treated at Assam’s Goalpara Civil Hospital, were discharged while another two were discharged on April 15.
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that ten more patients from other parts of the state are likely to be discharged tomorrow.
