GUWAHATI: The Assam government has so far collected 3209 samples for coronavirus testing, out of which 1421 cases are related to Tablighi Jamaat of Nizamuddin Markaz.
Out of 3209, the results of 3070 samples have come negative. While 31 tests have been positive, the results of 109 samples are awaited.
It should be mentioned that except one patient, all positive cases of Assam are related to Nizamuddin Markaz.
However, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "The issue of Nizamuddin Markaz seems to be slowly moving towards closure. But we are continually contact tracing people who came in links with those who attended the Markaz."
