GUWAHATI: A first-year Higher Secondary student from Cotton University attempted to end her life by jumping off the second floor of the MCB Building within the university premises.
The incident occurred around 11:58 AM on December 12.

According to eyewitnesses, the girl was found sitting alone in a classroom moments before the incident unfolded.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Pan Bazaar Police Station said, "The girl has been taken to Nemcare Hospital."
Further investigation is underway.
