Coronavirus cases exceed 4,00,000 globally, India's tally reached 562

GUWAHATI: The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has crossed 4,00,000 on Wednesday March 25, across more than 160 countries.

In India, the number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 562 (including 40 cured), according to the Union Health Ministry.

Further, India's coronavirus death toll had reached 11 with the passing away of a 54 year old man in Madurai.

In the northeast part of India, which has been relatively less hit by the virus so far, one case has been found to be positive.

A 23-year old girl in Manipur had tested positive for COVID-19. The patient had a history of travelling to United Kingdom, officials stated.
