Construction Of The Proposed Guwahati Club-Bamunimaidam Flyover To Start This Year

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the construction of the proposed Guwahati Club-Bamunimaidam flyover will begin this year.

This was said while addressing the people at the foundation laying ceremony of the RG Baruah Road flyover today, February 1.

Sarma said that after the construction of the Guwahati Club-Bamunimaidam flyover, the pressure of vehicular traffic will be more on RG Baruah Road. "As a foresighted measure, this flyover is being constructed first," he said.

The CM informed that the detailed project report (DPR) of the Guwahati Club-Bamunimaidam flyover has already been completed. The Government is to undertake about 4 bighas of land acquisition for the project.
