GUWAHATI: A case of suspected suicide has been reported in Guwahati at House No. 5, Monalisa Path, in the Geetanagar area on the night of January 18.

On Saturday evening, a 32-year-old woman from Lakhimpur was discovered hanging inside her rented room. Reports indicate that she had locked the door from the inside before taking the drastic step.
Geetanagar Police arrived at the scene and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Geetanagar police station said, "The cause behind this extreme measure has not yet been determined. We are working towards it."
The cause of the incident remains unknown, and authorities are investigating further.
