The National People’s Party chief, Conrad Sangma, took oath as Meghalaya Chief Minister of Meghalaya for the second consecutive term on Tuesday.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Chief JP Nadda, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar took oaths as the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state.
The other MLAs to have taken oaths include Abu Taher Mondal, Kyrmen Shylla, Marcuise N Marak, Rakkan A Sangma, Alexander Laloo Hek, Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh, Paul Lyngdoh, Shakliar Warjri, and Comingone Ymbon.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to take part in the oath-taking ceremony of Neiphiu Rio as Nagaland Chief Minister later on Tuesday.
