GUWAHATI: State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, during a press conference on April 4, Saturday said that a vaccine for the coronavirus is unlikely to be out for the common mass before Diwali.
Further, the minister said that he is keeping a track on development of vaccine in US, but all are in first stage of animal and human testing.
"I don't think we'll get the vaccine before Diwali, " he added.
It is to be mentioned that the first positive case of Covid-19 in Guwahati came on April 3 after Manish Tibrewal, a resident of Zoo Road tested positive for the same.
