GUWAHATI: The ongoing Janata Curfew has been extended till 8 am tomorrow, March 23 for the state of Assam.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, in a video released by Assam Police on Instagram, appealed to the people of the state to continue with the curfew wholeheartedly. He further asked people not to come out and gather even after the curfew period as prevention of mass gathering is an important step in combating the spreading the COVID-19 virus.
Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had appealed for Janata Curfew on 22nd March and people across the country have been seen responding positively to the same.
