It has been reported that as many as 18 vehicles have hit a particular divider at NH-37 on 21st Oct, Saturday.
It has been alleged by sources that in the past also many vehicles collided with the same divider at Patarkuchi under Sonapur Police Station. While locals of the area consider some sort of paranormal phenomenon to be the reason behind the car crashes, city traffic police says technical flaws in the construction of the road to be the reason.
DCP Traffic Amanjeet Kaur speaking to G Plus said "There is no accident as such. It's some fault in divider on highway which probably people couldn't see in rain and hit it. Few vehicles hit it while going from Jorabat to Sonapur. No injuries have been reported to me. We have informed NHAI to repair it and improve it so that bigger incident doesn't happen."
