City Businessmen Come Forward to Donate for COVID-19 Relief Fund

GUWAHATI: Various prominent businessmen from Guwahati have taken up the initiative to help the state government in its battle to combat coronavirus in Assam. 

Some of the proprietors who donated generously for the cause include Pravesh Kabra, S/O Late Binod Kabra, proprietor of Vinayak Logistics who donated Rs 21 lakhs to the Assam Arogya Nidhi Fund.  

It is to be mentioned that many other business establishments of the city have come forward to donate generously towards the 'Assam Arogya Nidhi Fund'. 

Meanwhile, Assam has seen donations of more than Rs 8 crores for the coronavirus relief fund till now, said health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on April 1.  

In the past few days, the people of Assam have come forward to help the government in the fight against coronavirus.

Approximately 6,252 people / organizations have donated to the Assam Arogya Nidhi Fund so far and an amount of over Rs 8 crores have been collected. 

More donations are expected in the coming days.
