GUWAHATI: The main culprit behind the heinous rape and murder of a four-year-old on the banks of Bakra River in Chirang has been apprehended.
The accused, identified as Paniya Sutradhar had reportedly fled from Sidli on March 15 and had taken shelter at a friend’s place in Dhemaji district.
Sutradhar was apprehended by Dhemaji Police and was later handed over to Chirang Police, where he confessed to his crime.
