GUWAHATI: Children of Cachar Paper Mill employees were seen begging on the streets on New Year’s Day.
A group of around 15 students from Panchgram Kendra Vidyalaya and other schools took to the streets of Cachar district holding placards.
They sought financial help from the shopkeepers, commuters and other commercial establishments to back their education.

It is to be mentioned that the Nagoan and Cachar Paper Mills have remained dysfunctional since March 2017 and October 2015 respectively, and have also not received their salaries.
