GUWAHATI: An ancient statue of Lord Vishnu have been excavated from the premises of the Cotton University in Guwahati.
According to reports, the idol was recovered by construction workers in the premises on 22 January while digging the land for raising a new building.
The said idol will be handed over to the archaeological department to examine the age of the idol.
