Centre To Set Up Passport Offices Across 543 Parliamentary Constituencies In India

 

The establishment of new PSKs across the country highlights a joint effort between the Department of Posts and the Ministry of External Affairs

GUWAHATI: The central government has announced the decision to establish a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in each of the country’s 543 parliamentary constituencies.

This was revealed by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia during the recent inauguration of a Passport Seva Kendra in Madhya Pradesh.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to establish a Passport Seva Kendra in each parliamentary constituency to expand services,” Scindia reportedly said.

Highlighting that six new PSKs will be opened in Madhya Pradesh in 2025, the minister also said that 6,000 post offices have been set up across India.

He further urged citizens to revive the tradition of handwritten letters as a heartfelt form of communication.
