GUWAHATI: In an incident near Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Bhangagarh, a moving car caught fire on March 23. The driver and other occupants of the car managed to get out in time before they were majorly harmed.
According to people in the area, the car was carrying a patient to the hospital when all of a sudden, it caught on fire. The driver had detected thick smoke coming out of the bonnet of the car and within minutes, the vehicle was completely engulfed in fire.
After receiving notice of the incident, the Fire Brigade personnel was rushed to the spot and tried to bring the blaze under control.

The reason behind the fire’s breakout is said to be a short circuit inside the vehicle. No casualties have been reported so far.
