GUWAHATI: Cachar police and the Border Security Force (BSF) have dismantled a narcotics network, intercepting a consignment of 10,000 YABA tablets near Leverputa, Katigorah on Friday, February 28. The seized drugs are estimated to have a market value of approximately ₹3 crore.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the enforcement agencies on X stating about the operation.
Earlier, on Sunday, February 23, Cachar police carried out another successful raid under the jurisdiction of Jirighat Police Station. This operation resulted in the recovery of 24,000 YABA tablets worth approximately ₹7.20 crore. The bust led to the arrest of an individual linked to the illicit consignment.
The authorities continue to strengthen their vigilance along the border to curb the smuggling of narcotics.
