GUWAHATI: A total number of 36 Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) customer care centres in Assam will offer Aadhaar enrolment services.
Major BSNL Centres are operating at Guwahati, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Haflong, Hailakandi, Karimganj, Tezpur, Mangaldoi, Udalguri.
BSNL customer service centres in Guwahati’s Dispur, Noonmati, Pan Bazar and Ulubari are now Aadhaar Seva Kendras.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently designated BSNL Customer Service Centres all across the nation as Aadhaar Seva Kendra for Aadhaar enrollment services.
The Aadhar is a 12-digit unique identity number that can be obtained by the residents of Indian based on their biometric and demographic data.
