State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday exempted the students of the economically backward families from paying examination fee for the HSLC and High Madrassa examinations.
The minister further added that students belonging to families having annual income of more than Rs 1 lakh will have to pay a fee of Rs 850, which will include an examination fee of Rs 500, centre fee of Rs 300, and a school maintenance fee of Rs 50.
