GUWAHATI: The bomb threat at City Centre on August 19 has been confirmed as a hoax.

Talking to GPlus, a source in the police confirmed about the bomb threat being hoax.
Around 3 PM, the mall put up a notice stating that it was closed for two hours due to a technical issue. Shortly thereafter, bomb-sniffing dogs and fire tenders arrived at the scene.
The chaotic situation triggered flashbacks for many to the recent Independence Day, when several suspected bombs were planted across Assam, including Guwahati.
As confirmed by Guwahati Commissioner of Police, Diganta Barah, four bomb-like objects were later recovered.
