Body Recovered From Bahini River In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A body has been recovered from the Bahini River under the jurisdiction of the Basistha Police Station on Sunday.

According to the information provided by an official from the Basistha Police Station, the deceased has been identified as Bansehswar Kalita, a resident of the Beltola College Road area in Guwahati. 

The deceased reportedly suffered from dementia and was missing since the last few days. 

While speaking to G Plus, an official from the Basistha Police Station informed that the body is under the custody of the Basistha Police Station for the night and will be sent for a post mortem examination to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Monday morning.
