Bodo Accord Signed in New Delhi, 1550 NDFB Cadets to Surrender Arms on Jan 30

GUWAHATI: A tripartite accord for final settlement of demands in Bodoland was signed in New Delhi on January 27.  

The NDFB factions led by Ranjan Daimari, Govinda Basumatary, Dhiren Boro and B Saoraigra signed the agreement and the representatives of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and all the NDFB factions also signed the tripartite agreement.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that the tripartite agreement fulfils all the key political and economic demands of Bodoland.

Assam chief minister Sarbanand Sonowal and senior minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also attended the accord signing ceremony.

Meanwhile, a total of 1550 cadres of all the four factions of NDFB will surrender arms in a ceremony on January 30.
