Many have suspected foul play, believing the youth was murdered and his body abandoned at the site. A mobile phone was found near the remains, and Gauripur Police promptly arrived to secure the scene.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from the Gauripur police station, “The reason of Sheikh’s death still remains unconfirmed as we still cannot confirm it as murder. The death might also be due to an accident because of bad weather conditions, as we have found injury marks on the face also. The body has been sent for post-mortem and we can gather more information after that.”
The body has been sent to Dhubri Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation.
