GUWAHATI: Four persons were seriously injured in a blast at a scrap dealer's shop at Raja Maidam Road near the former Max Mart building in Jorhat on Thursday, July 25.
According to police, the blast is suspected to have occurred when the victims were hammering and trying to break down an oxygen cylinder which was sold as scrap.
The injured, identified as Moidul Islam, Hazrat, Sahidul and Sahidul have been admitted to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital. However, Moidul is said to be in critical condition.
Jorhat Police is currently investigating the incident.
