GUWAHATI: Pravinbhai Togadia, President Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad, now side-lined by both the RSS and BJP was in Guwahati on 18th July.

Speaking to media persons Togadia blamed the BJP government both at the centre and state for the illegal migrants’ problem which the country is currently facing.

"Bangladeshis and Rohingyas should be identified and sent back not only from Assam but also from other states of India. Already there has been too much delay," said Pravinbhai Togadia, President Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad.

Blaming the BJP-led government of Assam, Togadia said, “The BJP had promised Jati, Mati, Bheti (indigenous first) but has failed to secure the rights of the Assamese people. They have only been able to send off 17 illegal Bangladeshis. The BJP government in Assam is a copy of the erstwhile Congress. The party looks like the Congress," said Togadia.

Speaking on NRC, Togadia pointed out that the Centre was not concerned about the illegal Bangladeshi problem.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared that there were 50 lakh Bangladeshis in Assam. This National Register of Citizens (NRC) is just a show-off and nothing else," said Togadia.

On rights of Hindus and the Hindutva agenda Togadia spoke in black and white and was worried that the Central government might be using coercion on certain issues.

"The Hindus have demands and the government should fulfil those demands. But the government should not repress the citizens to meet these demands. Every government should give importance to the demands of the Hindus," said Togadia.

"Even if the Bangladesh Government does not agree the Indian Army should open a colony for these Bangladeshis," said Togadia.
