GUWAHATI: At around 11 am on Sunday, there was a bike theft attempt in the Zoo Road area of Guwahati. One Md. Jeherul Ali and his associate Md. Lotif Ali attempted to steal bikes, however police arrived at the spot.
Md. Jeherul Ali has been apprehended by the officials of Geetanagar police station. Police also recovered one cycle, four live rounds of .32 pistol and its magazine, along with a wire cutting tool from Md. Jeherul Ali, after chasing him.
However, his associate Md. Lotif Ali managed to escape and police are on the lookout for him.
Both of them hail from Baksa district, police sources informed G Plus.
