Bhutan King Lands At Guwahati, Takes A Trip To Kamakhya Temple

GUWAHATI: The Royal King Of Bhutan Jigme Namgyel Wangchuk arrived at the Guwahati airport today morning as part of his scheduled visit to Assam from November 3 to November 5.

The King was received by the Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Commissioner Of Police Diganta Barah amongst other dignitaries

The Royal Monarch then went to visit the Kamakhya Temple after landing in Guwahati.


The Kamakhya Devalaya authorities felicitated His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan on his arrival at Maa Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati.
 

 

 

The following day, the royal guests are slated to explore the Kaziranga National Park, celebrated for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. The King's visit will end with a dinner hosted by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in their honour later in the evening.
