GUWAHATI: Noted singer-musician from Assam Bhupen Hazarika, to be awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously on August 8.
Along with Bhupen Hazarika and Nanaji Deshmukh who have been awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously, President Ramnath Kovind will also be presenting Pranab Mukherjee with the Bharat Ratna at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday at 6 PM.

Reportedly, CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Atul Bora and the state BJP MLAs will be presented at the event. It to be mentioned that from Bhupen Hazarika's family side, Manisha Hazarika, Dawor Hazarkia and Tej Hazarika will also attend the ceremony.
