GUWAHATI: A Bangladeshi national was arrested from Guwahati’s Hatigaon area.
The migrant has been identified as Suman Mitra.

Based on reports, he had travelled a long way and come to Assam in search of better employment opportunities.
Mitra confessed to the authorities that he hails from Sulamganja in Bangladesh, that he crossed the Indo-Bangladesh border with the help of brokers and that three other men came to Guwahati in addition to him.
Mitra was arrested after locals living in the area informed authorities and an investigation was launched into the matter.
