GUWAHATI: Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) has announced a 35% concession on its bus fares for the girl commuters travelling within Guwahati.
The concession can be availed through a ‘Bus Pass’ that can be bought through a mobile app 'Chalo app'. The app was launched on June 14 at an event organized by ASTC to introduce various digital initiatives for its bus services in Guwahati.
The 'Chalo app' is designed to enable commuters to track the live position of their bus on a map.

Apart from girl commuters, ASTC announced concessions for commuters belonging to the following categories:
For Students
- Boys 30%
-Senior Citizens (Above 60 years of Age) 50%
-Physically Challenged 100%
-Freedom Fighters 100%
-Media 80%
It should be mentioned that ASTC is the lifeline of Road Transport Connectivity of the state as it operates buses in rural areas along with the highways and city roads.
