GUWAHATI: While delivering a speech in Majuli, on February 21, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi lauded the key projects of Assam under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
He begun his speech in Assamese by saying, "How are you? All well? I am very happy to be in Majuli."
The actor also informed that under the I-30 programme which is launched for grooming students for competitive examinations, steps would be taken to open around 30 centres in Assam.
He said that a movie chronicling the life of great Ahom general Lachit Borphukan would be made and he would star in it.
Oberoi tweeted along similar lines, “In the serene tea garden of awesome Assam. Soft breeze and captivating smell of tea leaves leave you enamoured. #awesomeassam”
The actor further tweeted, "Always a great pleasure meeting my dear friend and big bro “Xorbada” the dynamic and extremely dedicated CM of Assam.”
