A person named Jagadish Sarmah was roaming about in the village. The villagers at first suspected him of being some anti-social element. However, upon formal inquiry, they found out he was actually lost.

G Plus spoke to one of the locals, Manab Jyoti Sarmah, who stated that the lost person was shivering with cold and roaming about in their area. "We asked his whereabouts. But, he was not able to tell anything concrete. He would say he belonged to Paltan Bazar and then Baihata Chariali," Manab told G Plus.

The locals offered him food and shelter and lit up a fire to help him cope with the cold.

Later, the Police were contacted by the locals, however, they couldn't take him to the station due to some issues.

The next day the villagers took Jagadish Sarmah to the Palashbari Police Station. After investigation, the police finally handed him over to his family members.

G Plus spoke to the Officer in Charge (OC) Palashbari PS who revealed that the person was specially challenged and as such had difficulty sharing his whereabouts.

"We have successfully sent him back to Rangia to his original home," the OC told G Plus.
