GUWAHATI: The Assam Government granted approval to the Assam Village Defence Organisation (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in a recent state cabinet meeting.
The proposed bill aims to enhance the effectiveness of the Village Defence Organisation by amending the Assam Village Defence Organisation Act, 1966.
