GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption in Assam has apprehended Moonmoon Sen, a Junior Accounts Assistant at the Treasury Office in Jorhat on March 14.

Sen was caught red-handed today by the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption officials after she accepted a demanded bribe within the premises of the office.
The operation unfolded as Sen was allegedly soliciting a bribe from a complainant in exchange for expediting the processing of pay bills. Acting on the complaint, the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption personnel conducted a planned trap, resulting in Sen's immediate arrest upon accepting the bribe.

The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption took to X to put out a statement, which read, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Moonmoon Sen, Junior Accounts Assistant of Treasury Office, Jorhat, after she accepted demanded bribe in the office from the complainant for processing pay bills.”
