GUWAHATI: Just months before the Lok Sabha elections, the Assam government has made some major changes in its bureaucracy on February 2.
Following is a list of change of roles:
Harmeet Singh IPS, Add. Director General of Police (Security) Assam is transferred and posted as Add. Director General of Police (Administration) Assam vice I.R. Bishnoi IPS transferred. He is also allowed to hold the additional charge of ADGP (M&L) and ADGP (Security), Assam in addition to his own duties.
R.M. Singh, IPS, Chairman, Assam Police Housing Corporation has been transferred and posted as Director General of Home Guards and Commandant General of Civil Defence, Assam against existing vacancy with effect from the date of taking over charge.
Anil Kr. Jha, IPS, Special Diector General (CID), Assam is transferred and posted as Chariman, Assam Police Housing Corporation vice R.M. Singh, IPS, transferred, with effect from the date of taking over charge.
A.K. Sinha Casshyap, IPS, Add. Director General of Police (T&AP) is promoted to officiate in level 16 of the pay matrix is promoted as Special Director General (T&AP), Assam with effect from the date of taking over charge.
Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, IPS, Add. Director General of Police (Border) is promoted to is promoted to officiate in level 16 of the pay matrix is promoted as Special Director General (Border), Assam with effect from the date of taking over charge.
I.R. Bishnoi IPS, Add. Director General of Police (Administration) Assam is transferred and posted as Add. Director General of Police (CID) Assam with effect from the date of taking over charge.
Biswaranjan Samal, IAS on reversion from Central deputation has been posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport and Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Departments.
Dr. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Personnel and A.R. and Training Departments has also been posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Welfare of Minorities and Development department in addition to his substantive post.
Ashutosh Agnihotri, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Industries and Commerce and Sports and Youth Welfare Departments and Project Director, Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society is relieved from the additional charge of Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. He is also posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home, Political, Border Areas and Implementation of Assam Accord Departments in addition to his substantive post.
Gaurav Bothra, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Welfare of Minorities Development and Member, Board of Revenue, Assam has been transferred and posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Agriculture Department and Member, Board of Revenue as additional charge.
Vinod Seshan, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Agriculture and Information Technology Departments, State Project Director, ARIAS Society, Director, Information and Technology, Electronics and Communication and PD. AUIIP has been relieved from the charge of Secretary to the Government of Assam, Agriculture Department and substantively has been posted as the State Project Director, ARIAS Society, Director, Information & Technology, Electronics & Communication and PD. AUIIP.
