Assam To Merge SEBA With AHSEC For Administrative Efficiency

GUWAHATI: In a significant development aimed at streamlining the education system in Assam, the State Education Department has announced the merger of the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for administrative efficiency.

The Education Department has also announced the abolition of Class 10 board-level examination, making Class 12 the statewide-level board examination.

Under the new system, the Class 10 board-level examination, which was previously conducted by SEBA, will now be conducted by individual school authorities.

This merger will bring together the secondary and higher secondary education boards, providing a unified framework for the assessment and evaluation of students across these levels.
