GUWAHATI: Assam will soon launch a 112 service which is called the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS). The 112 service will replace all other emergency services like 100, 101, 181 and 1091.
112 will be a single helpline number to access all immediate assistance services including police, fire and women helpline.
According to reports, soon the service will be implemented in all states of the country and it will known as 112 India.
Uttar Pradesh government has already implemented the service.
