Assam To Implement Guidelines For Angadwadi Management Committees

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has approved guidelines for constituting Angadwadi Centre Management Committees across the state.

This was announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma following a state cabinet meeting which was held on Thursday, January 16.

The move is expected to streamline the management processes of such centres, which play a crucial role in delivering services like nutrition, healthcare, and early childhood education.

By setting clear guidelines, the government intends to enhance transparency and accountability in the operations of these AWCs.

Other decisions taken in the cabinet meeting was the allotment of ₹401.50 crore for projects spanning the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and the increase in share capital from ₹3,000 crore to ₹6,000 crore for the state’s power sector.
