The initiative aims to introduce a scientific, transparent, and standardised testing system to reduce human intervention in the licensing process. Currently, five ADTCs are under construction in Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Biswanath, Barpeta, and Kamrup Rural, and are expected to be operational within the next five months.
Additionally, plans are underway to establish one such training centre in each Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC). The Transport Department will prepare detailed guidelines to oversee the implementation of these centres.
