GUWAHATI: The Assam government has announced the recipients of the Assam Civilian Awards 2024, with distinguished individuals and institutions set to be honoured for their contributions across various fields, following the Assam Cabinet's decision on March 9.

The prestigious Assam Baibhav award will be conferred upon Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita (Retd), PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM.
The Assam Saurav award will recognise the achievements of Subramanian Ramadorai, Bappi Paul, Purabi Saikia, Dwipen Baruah, Hemanta Dutta, and Uma Chetry.
The Assam Gaurav award will be presented to Phuleswari Dutta, Meenakshi Das, Parthib Sundar Gogoi, Dhirendra Nath Paul, Haridas Das, Binong Teron, Nazrul Hoque, Biswajit Bora, Bharat Kalita, Barlangfa Narzary, Ram Sasoni, Upamanyu Borkakoty, and David Pratim Gogoi.
Additionally, Institutions and communities being recognised include Choran Ahem, Barekuri Village, and Hati Bondhu NGO.
The awards will be presented by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on March 30.
