GUWAHATI: The Assam Paralympic Association has announced a nine-member squad to represent the state at the National Para Swimming Championship, which is set to take place in Panaji, Goa, from October 19 to 22.

The team was selected based on their performance in the Fourth All Assam Para Sports Championship, held in Guwahati earlier this year, as confirmed by the association's secretary and international swimming coach, Rajib Dey.
The athletes representing Assam are Surya Saikia, Devilal Mili, Dhunu Tao, Anowar Shikdar, Jehrul Islam, Sajida Begum, Yesmin Khatun, and Preeti Das.
Rajib Dey will serve as the male coach for the team, while Khagen Chandra Kalita will be coaching the women’s contingent. The team will also be accompanied by Papori Gogoi as the manager.
