GUWAHATI: The Assam Police, led by a team from Joypur Police Station, successfully seized 348 grams of suspected heroin, concealed within 29 soap cases on September 22.
This operation was carried out by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Joypur and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Namrup which also resulted in the apprehension of four individuals involved in the illicit drug trade.
In addition to the narcotics haul, the authorities have also confiscated the vehicle employed for the transportation of these prohibited substances, as per official information.
Assam Police took to Twitter to put out, “Team of Joypur PS led by OC Joypur and DySP Namrup recovered 29 soap cases of suspect heroin weighing approx. 348g and arrested 4 drug dealers. The car used for transport has been seized too.”
