GUWAHATI: Assam sprinters Amlan Borgohain and Hima Das showcased phenomenal athletic performances at the 3rd Indian Grand Prix which was held at Bengaluru's Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
Amlan Borgohain won two gold medals in the men's 100-meter and 200-meter races at the 3rd Indian Grand Prix, which was held at Bengaluru's Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
His times of 10.50 seconds for the 100 metres and 21.22 seconds for the 200 metres earned him first place in both events. Amlan demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, making the country proud of his accomplishment.
Meanwhile, sprinter Hima Das won gold in the women's 200-meter race timing in just 23.77 seconds
The 21-year-old Assamese athlete has been in excellent form recently and has consistently improved her timings.
Indian athletes delivered some thrilling performances at the third Indian Grand Prix, with many setting personal bests.
Aside from Amlan Borgohain and Hima Das, there were several other notable performances.
The Indian Grand Prix Athletics comprised four events and was organised by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
The first leg of the Indian Grand Prix 2023 was held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on March 20.
The Indian Grand Prix 2 was held on March 27 in Thiruvananthapuram while the third leg took place on April 10 in Bengaluru, Karnataka and the fourth Indian Grand Prix will be held on April 15, 2023, in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
