Assam Skill Development Mission to launch Japanese language classes

GUWAHATI: The Assam Skill Development Mission is set to introduce Japanese language training classes for aspirants in the state, informed State skill development Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on June 17.

Patowary said that National Skill Development Commission would set up centres in Assam for the youths to be trained in Japanese language and in lifestyle orientation for making them employable in Japan and Japanese companies.

He also said that soon the state government will organise a meeting with 150 Japanese companies in New Delhi. He further said that talks with a Japanese company named Jetro (Japan External Trade Organization) are on who are interested in setting up a "Jetro City" in the state for manufacturing of automobile spares in the state that are now being manufactured in Korea.

In addition, Patowary informed that a mobile-based app called "DAKSHA" (Digital Access to Knowledge & Skilled Human Resource of Assam) would be launched soon on the web, Android and IOS platforms.
