GUWAHATI: Presenting the Vote on Account Budget on 12th February on the third day of the Assam Assembly, finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that two universities are currently under construction.

These are the Birangana Sati Sadhani University at Golaghat and the Bir Chilarai University at Golakganj.
"The government is also contemplating the construction of an Agriculture University in Barak Valley," he added.
Sarma also informed that the construction of six cancer hospitals at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Barpeta, Diphu, Tezpur, and Mangaldoi have been completed and will be inaugurated very soon together by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
