Assam Scooty Scheme To Prioritise Students Enrolled In Regular Courses

Currently, the government provides scooties to students who join coaching centers after passing the HS examination, provided they meet certain eligibility criteria. This initiative was aimed at encouraging students pursuing alternative academic paths.

However, starting from the next academic year, the scheme will be exclusively for students enrolling in regular courses. This policy shift aims to promote formal education and encourage students to pursue traditional academic pathways.

Additionally, students who take a gap year and later join regular courses will also be eligible for the scooty. This ensures that those who take time off from their studies still have an opportunity to benefit from the scheme once they resume their education.
