GUWAHATI: Guwahati is likely to witness spells of rain or thundershowers this week, starting from March 15, 2021.
Along with Guwahati, other parts of Assam and the surrounding Northeastern states in India can brace for a moderate amount of rainfall, as per a report published by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
In its all-India weather updates, the IMD said that isolated to scattered rainfall with a few thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over the Northeastern states.
G Plus spoke to Dr. Sanjay O'Neill Shaw, Director of Meteorology, India Meteorological Department (IMD) Guwahati who further clarified the matter saying, "The forecast for Assam and the surrounding Northeastern states confirm generally or partly cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in the upcoming week."
Putting concerns to rest, however, Dr. Shaw mentioned that heavy rainfall or thunderstorms are unlikely to happen.
