GUWAHATI: Assam's Sattriya and Bihu dance will be performed during the upcoming Filmfare awards which is scheduled to be held in Guwahati on February 15.
The culture of Assam will be showcased during the gala event with the performances of Sattriya and Bihu dance.
Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) chairman said on Thursday that Gayatri Mahanta and Aimee Baruah will be part of the dance performance.
He added that Padmashri Jatin Goswami will choreograph the Sattriya dance routine while the Bihu dance will be choreographed by Ranjit Gogoi.
Till now, 2165 tickets have been sold for the event which were available online. However, a total of 7006 tickets will be sold for the awards. Further, 35 per cent of the total tickets will be made available on the official website of Awesome Assam.
The 65th Filmfare Awards will be held at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on February 15. Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, and Ayushman Khurana among other A-listers are set to attend the award ceremony.
According to reports the award show will be hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal.
