Assam: ₹400 Crore Granted For Ongoing Developmental Projects In BTR

 

GUWAHATI: In a significant decision aimed at expediting the progress of ongoing developmental projects in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the state government decided on allocating funds at the Assam Cabinet meeting at Janata Bhawan in Guwahati on Friday.

During the meeting, it was decided to release the Special Operation Plan for Developmental Grants (SOPD-G) fund amounting to ₹400 crore as the first instalment for the financial year 2023-24, falling under Grants No 78.

This allocation of funds is expected to facilitate the swift implementation of various developmental initiatives within the Bodoland Territorial Region.

The move comes as a crucial step towards fulfilling the state government's commitment to bolstering infrastructural growth and addressing the socio-economic needs of the region.

By disbursing the ₹400 crore fund as the first instalment, the Assam cabinet aims to ensure the seamless continuation and completion of ongoing projects, fostering progress in key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and community welfare.
