GUWAHATI: In a joint operation, Assam Rifles, along with Manipur Police, recovered a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and warlike stores in the general area of Koubru Ridge, Kangpokpi District, Manipur. The seizure included firearms, grenades, and live rounds, signaling a major breakthrough in efforts to curb illegal arms trafficking and maintain peace in the region.

The collaborative effort between Assam Rifles and Manipur Police resulted in the recovery of the following items: one SLR with magazine, one 9mm pistol, two No. 36 hand grenades, and ten 7.62mm live rounds. The operation was conducted in the Koubru Ridge area of Kangpokpi District, a region known for its strategic significance and occasional insurgent activities.
